Our outreach extends to those in the Gwinnett County Detention Center. Preaching services are conducted by the Rev. Larry Snickles on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Believing that God’s word has the answers to life’s problems, Biblical counseling is available through the pastor and staff.
This Church-wide community outreach, meets on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m.
World Wide Missions
Corinth Baptist church presently supports over 200 missionaries and ministries.
Many in our community like to be active. Over the years, many families have been won to Christ and later became a vital part of the church family. The first step for their journey with the Lord began because someone invited them to play sports.
We have various sports & leagues that we offer during the year such as Softball, Volleyball, Basketball or Golf. You don’t have to be a church member, only attend one service per week. For Softball, anyone over the age of 16 can play. In Volleyball, we have teen girls participate as young as 14, even with their moms! Just attend a service and put your name on the sign-up sheet when various athletic seasons are offered.
We want to honor & glorify the Lord as well as reach the lost or un-churched. We do this by providing a place for everyone to come, meet others, and build lifetime friendships.
We host a local chapter of Reformers Unanimous that meets every Friday at 7:00 p.m. (Even on holidays) to reach out to those suffering from addictions.
“Recycled Teens”, or our senior ministry, is directed by James Dispain. He ministers to those age 55 and above through weekly fellowships, monthly dinners, special tour bus trips around the country, local visitation, and weekly Bible study.
We offer age-graded Sunday School classes for pre-school and juniors. We offer two theme-related Children’s churches.
Called “Noah’s Park”, it meets in their own room complete with a wooden Noah’s ark and nature décor.
Called “Kidsville”, it meets in the Family life center on Sunday mornings during the 11:00 worship hour. Skits, puppets, video, and object lessons are part of the medium used to reach and teach children.
We also have AWANA clubs, Vacation Bible School, “fun days” and other activities. We want to make sure children feel a part of Corinth. After all, that’s part of our goal; we’re building lives.
Sunday School is the place to grow spiritually. It is the hub that most of the ministries within a church extend from. Because of this, we make a big deal out of bible study here at Corinth. It is our belief that weekly, systematically and passionate Sunday School work is still that best tool to reach the lost and disciple the Christian. We have children, youth, and adult classes.
When is it?
Each Sunday at 9:45 a.m. people meet in age-specific classrooms starting at the nursery on through to the senior adults. Each class has a curriculum that is focused on their need to meet Christ, develop a relationship with Him, and learn the scriptures line by line and precept upon precept so they can reach others. Those three steps are the great commission that the Lord Jesus left with us to obey.
Which class do I attend?
That’s easy. Just come in one of the glass doors and greeters will direct you or take you to the room you need. If you have been invited by someone they will take you to that person.
It is our desire to have a music ministry that honors and glorifies God and is edifying and inspirational to God’s people. Our styling is Traditional / Southern Gospel. We seek to provide music that calls people to worship and prepares the heart to receive God’s word. We accomplish this through heart-felt congregational singing, choir, special vocal groups (such as quartets, trios, ensemble) and soloists. We also have an array of musical ensembles including Glory band, a hand bell choir, keyboards / orchestral instruments, concerts, “Sings-pirations” and other special events such as musical dramas.
This ministry is geared primarily to encourage and provide transportation to unchurched children in our area.
